I was in a discussion with someone, who surprisingly considers Deekin (from Neverwinter Nights) as an uber character. Apparently he considers someone who needed to be saved and was hiding inside a hut for safety against a single lizard creature that was trying to break in and get to him, as uber.
I should clarify what determines whether a character is uber or not. Because there seems to be a serious confusion here.

To be uber, the character:
- does not talk much.
- never asks for anyone's help
- would be someone enemies would rather not mess with

For example, some uber characters in no particular order are: Ryu Hayabusa, Master Chief, Dante, Cloud/Vincent/Sephiroth, Ganondorf, Oni Link, Sub-Zero/Scorpion, Sesshomaru, the Akatsuki members, Byakuya, Kenshin's master, etc.

Suppose the world is facing total destruction, and you only get to pick any one character to have them try and save the world. If you pick any one of those uber characters I listed then the world will be saved. Now if you pick this Deekin then you just essentially destroyed the world.

I'm open-minded and I respect other people's opinions, but saying Deekin is uber is like saying a goomba is uber.
